Toast Soft Recovery Collar for Cats & Dogs – Cushioned Post-Surgery Protection

Help protect healing skin, wounds and stitches with the HiDREAM Toast Soft Pet Recovery Collar. Designed for cats and small to medium dogs, this cushioned anti-lick collar helps limit licking, biting and scratching after surgery, desexing or during skin treatment. Its soft toast-shaped design offers a more comfortable alternative to a rigid plastic Elizabethan collar, giving pets greater freedom to eat, drink, rest and move around during recovery.

A Soft Alternative to a Plastic Pet Cone

The collar is filled with resilient PP cotton for lightweight cushioning around the neck. Its broad, flat shape creates a protective anti-lick barrier without the hard edges and tunnel-like feel of a traditional cone. The open design causes less visual obstruction than many rigid cones, while the padded surface can also be used as a comfortable chin rest when your cat or dog sleeps.

Suitable for Cats and Dogs

Use it as a soft cat cone after surgery, a kitten recovery collar after desexing, or a comfortable dog recovery collar for wounds, irritated skin and post-operative care. Five sizes cover neck circumferences from 7cm to 45cm, making it suitable for kittens, adult cats and small to medium dogs. An adjustable drawstring toggle lets you fine-tune the neck opening so the collar stays securely in place.

Lightweight and Easy to Clean

The water-resistant nylon outer helps repel light splashes, dirt and everyday marks. Soft PP cotton filling keeps the collar comfortable and lightweight, starting from approximately 64g in size XS.

Care

Spot clean or wipe with a damp cloth, then allow the collar to air dry completely before reuse. The nylon outer is water-resistant, not waterproof. Do not soak, tumble dry or expose the filling to prolonged moisture.

How to choose: Measure around your pet's neck where the collar will sit. Once adjusted, you should be able to fit approximately two fingers between the neck and opening. Weight is a guide only. For wounds on the paws, legs or head, a larger outer diameter may be required. Choose a larger size only when its neck range will still provide a secure fit. Follow your veterinarian's sizing and wear-time advice.

How to Measure

Use a soft measuring tape to wrap around your pet's neck (A) and chest (B).
Place two fingers between the tape and your pet’s body to ensure a comfy fit.
If between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.

Q1: Can both cats and dogs wear this recovery collar?

A: Yes. The five-size range is designed for kittens, adult cats and small to medium dogs. Choose the size using your pet's neck circumference, body weight and the location of the wound.

Q2: Is it suitable after desexing or surgery?

A: The collar can help limit access to stitches and surgical sites after desexing or other procedures when correctly sized. Follow your veterinarian's advice because some wounds or determined pets may require a different style of recovery collar.

Q3: Can my pet eat and drink while wearing it?

A: The flat, flexible design is intended to make food and water bowls easier to reach than with a rigid plastic cone. Supervise your pet initially and adjust the bowl height if necessary.

Q4: How tight should the collar be?

A: Adjust the opening so the collar stays securely in place while allowing approximately two fingers between your pet's neck and the collar. Check the fit regularly and remove it if you notice breathing difficulty, distress or skin irritation.

Q5: Is the recovery collar waterproof?

A: The nylon outer is water-resistant and easy to wipe clean, but the collar is not fully waterproof and should not be submerged.

Q6: Will it prevent every cat or dog from reaching every wound?

A: No recovery collar can prevent access to every body area in every pet. Check that the outer diameter blocks access to the affected area and supervise your pet, particularly during the first few hours of wear.
